Soooo... I go out with my friend last night with the intention of going out to mix and mingle with other singles. The last spot we went to some one immediately tries to talk to her and Im left alone... Am I really unapproachable? Am I ugly? Do I look too young? I feel like I need to go out with someone who isn't all that cute because all my friends are too beautiful and pretty and then there is me... so much for actually feeling confident in myself last night also... to make things worse I had befriended a few guys who use to attend Clayton and the one guy who I was into says that he wants to talk to the friend I was with... she was across the way talkin with another guy... makes me feel really just great. I gave him her number and I basically left with no numbers and feelin like crap. Although She did end up giving my number to this guy who is... in the least just not my type. uuuggghhhh really? Am I being punished for something?? I really wish I was prettier and maybe looked more approachable... is that it???
I really miss my friend DT...and Lyfe...and Jason... I need to get myself some words of wisdom and think more positively before I sink into a state of sadness. I miss DT very much this is the longest Ive gone without seeing him. I think Ive almost got the "like" out of my system sorta and now it's me trying to get it in my head that we'll never be anything more than friends... *sigh*
I am absolutely in love with Lyfe's music!! It puts me at ease and I can relate to it oooooh I love it. I did have the pleasure close to almost a year ago of having lunch with him and then he came to my apartment. He's a wonderful person. I wish I could even say that we're friends but I guess we're not that either... so sad. Ive admired him for years and finally getting a chance to spend time with the guy who's music I fell in love with is an undescribale feeling... Im just sad that it ended there :-( I don't get replies to text messages, tweets, or returned phone calls
anymore...
Im just babbling (I appologize) so I am goin to retire and get back to what I was doing *peace*

Me: Buy what?
Him: That ass
Me: no words just *a look like did you really just ask me that*
Him: Did you have a baby or somethin?
Me: NO!
Him: looked at me and as he was walkin away oh ok you just grew up
Me: *just a look of disgust on my face*
Really dude? That's acceptable to say to a woman? WOW *Shaking my head* but thanks for noticing I guess :0/

Me: Im at work. Yourself?
Him:I jus went and got these homeless people some food. Wat kinda work u do?
Me: I create documents for airplanes
Him: That's good. You have any kids
Me: No. Do you? Where do you work?
Him: I have a son but he lives in California. His mother won't lwt me have nun to do wit him. I clean gutters but business been slow cause of the weather
Me: Oh ok. You in school?
Him: No I graduated in 06' wat about you
Me:Are you in college? Or you graduated college 06'. I'm a junior in college
Him: I didn't graduate college. I mean I didn't go. wat school yo go to
Me: Strayer University. So what do you want to do in life?
Him: My dream is to own a chain of high end restaurants/night clubs. I want to be able to have a stable good life. Wat about you
Me: Work in the hospitality field that's what my degree is in. How do you plan to work towards your dreams?
Him: I plan to just take it a day at a time. I have had the pleasure in life to know a lot of important people. Celebrity's, politicians, entreprenuers and millionaires and all types of people so wen I'm ready to start it I have investors and people to guide me thru.
Me: That's whats up. What's your favorite restaurant?
Him: To be honest Fox Grill. Wat about you
Me: Sho Guns & Carrabbas. What do you enjoy doing
Him: Im a home body. I like sittin in my room and watchin movies and smoke a lil
Me: oh
Him: You don't like smokers
Me: No that's not my cup of tea
Him: So I guess that lost all my kool points
Me: On that one ya did
Him: Does that mean I can't take you out
Me: You can take me out it just means that we can be friends
Him: wat if you start liking me
me: I don't do the somking thing its a major issue for me
Him: so you can't be romantically involved wit someone who smoke
Me: I despise drugs and cigarettes... I don't care who you are. That's a standard I refuse to lower
me: Why do you smoke
Him: I keeps me
Him: I respect that. I despise drugs and cigarettes to
Me: " I keeps me" I don't understand
Him: I keeps my mind at ease. Growin up I have seen a lot. I witnessed my first murder wen my mama killed her boyfriend. I was drowned in his blood as a kid. Up to this day I hav nightmares about that and that's just the first of many horrible things I went thru in life. I don't like smokin but I do. Weed isn't even a drug
Me:Oh ok I'm sorry to hear that.. but it's somethin you smoke
Me: What is weed cause if ya get caught with it its considered a drug/illegal substance
Him: If you resewarch it weed actually benefits your body. The only reason its considered a drug in most states is because the government can't tax it. Drugs are man made substances. Weed is grown from the earth. If weed is so bad for you why do doctors perscribe it to patientsMe: Yes I know and hear everything your saying but in my opinion its a drug... a drug is a subtsnace when absorbed into the bidy alters normal bodily functions... weed does that. Key word is prescribes
Him: You would be surprised at what weed did for your body
Me: I guess
Me: Do you have any siblings
Him: yea I have 4 brothers and 11 sisters. wat about you
Me: Im an only child. Do you live by yourself?
Him: I live with my mom. Wat type of men do you like
Me: Ambitious, those tryin to make somethin of themselves, kind, a gentlemen, sense of humor, laid back...
Him: ok. I think I fit da description. Wat do consider a good date
Me: Somethin creative... or somethin other than the movies & dinner
Him: I like an adventure. I wouldn't mind goin to the aquarium
Me: I personally don't like the GA aquarium. If you haven't been there then I would
Him: I like stuff like that ist somethin Im not use to comin out of these streetsme: When you go on dates who do you feel should pay?
Him: It doesn't matter to me who pay. I feel the woman should pay sometimes. Just like y'all want us to treat y'all we like to be treated to.
Me: Gotcha
Him:When ima get to see you again
Me: When aren't you working
Him: You just let me know when you have some free time
and there is my wonderful and very entertaining conversation. Needless to say I will NOT be going out with him... :-)

Re-Connect
Soooo.... ok I have this person that I've been dealing with for a little more than a year. Over the course of the year as I figured things out and looked at the situation from the outside lookin in I became irate and upset at what the situation has become and proceeded to just let it go... I did for a while but at one point he said all the right things and we made up... and now here I am fed up and I have no feelings and want nothing more than to be friends. I no longer see him as the apple of my eye and therefore sex is out the question unless we can some how rekindle what we had. Well I told him we need to reconnect and spend some quality time together and this is what he had to say: Me: We need to spend some time together Him: "Yes we should. My Schedule is craaaazy. I would love to see you tonight". Me: "You make time for what's important to you, but I gotcha". Him: Like what? You act like you know my schedule. And your busy too. Me: Don't worry about it. Forget everything I said altogether. Him: Y? Me: It's not important. Booty calls hours is not quality time and that was my last and final attempt *shrug* I hope he realizes he has completely lost me and that he needs to move on to the next because I have :-)

what is this??
I can feel my heart pounding fast within its pace. My mind flutters from thought to thought. Its funny how when we ask God to give something to us and he does, it is then that we don't know what to do with it. The God word says that God has not given us the spirit of fear but the peace of a sound mind. Yet, I feel afraid, I don't want to but I do. I have this great guy before me but I'm scared. All of these what if keep coming into my mind. What if we don't work, what if someone else comes along, what if he hurts me. I've always hated the stories of people being married for over 20 something years only to get a divorce. I know that things are seasonal but I don't want this season to pass and I guess that's what I fear the most. Nothing has ever really lasted in my life from friends to family. I know change is inevitable but sometimes I just want to have the faith that something so idealistic as love will last. He is coming to visit in march, his ticket already purchased which makes it all so real. I guess just have to wait and see what this is and what it will turn out to be.

Qualities of a Godly Husband
The Qualities of a Godly Husband
Initially it seemed that Proverbs had little to say to the woman who sought to discern the qualities of a godly husband. I have come to see that this is not at all the case. In general, we can say that a woman should seek a man who is wise. Since we have already studied the characteristics of the wise, we will only summarize them here. These seem especially applicable to marriage:
1. A wise husband is kind and compassionate (12:10).
2. A wise husband is honest (29:24).
3. A wise husband is hard-working (12:11; 27:23-27).
4. A wise husband is truthful (12:17,19).
5. A wise husband exercises self-control (12:15; 16:32).
6. A wise husband has a gentle tongue (12:18; 15:1-2,4).
7. A wise husband is generous (14:21; 28:27).
8. A wise husband is willing to be corrected (even by his wife) and listens to counsel (12:15; 15:12,31-32; 28:13; 29:1).
9. A wise husband is a man of integrity (19:1; 20:7).
10. A wise husband is faithful and reliable (17:17; 29:3; contrast 25:19; 31:3).
11. A wise husband is forgiving (19:11).
12. A wise husband is willing to admit he is wrong (28:13).
13. A wise husband is humble (15:25,33; 16:18-19; 18:12; 29:23).
14. A wise husband is not contentious, but a peacemaker (17:1; 18:1,19).
15. A wise husband has control of his temper (14:29; 16:32; 17:27; 29:11).
16. A wise husband is a man who avoids excesses (20:1; 23:20-21, 29-35; 31:3-9).
17. A wise husband has a concern for others, especially the poor and the oppressed (29:7).
18. A wise husband can keep a confidence (17:9; 26:20).
19. A wise husband fears God and is obedient to His Word (13:13; 14:26; 16:20; 28:25; 31:30).
20. A wise husband is not a jealous man (27:4).
21. A The wise husband has a positive outlook on life (15:15; 17:22; 18:14).
As I look at these characteristics of the wise I am reminded of the qualifications laid down by the apostle Paul for elders and deacons in 1 Timothy 3.I find a great similarity between the qualifications for church leaders and the characteristics of the wise in Proverbs. But should this come as a surprise? After all, isn’t Proverbs written to young men who will be leaders, instructing them about wisdom? In this sense 1 Timothy 3 only summarizes what Proverbs has taught in greater detail.
